Pierre Petroni : always a bencher
It has been 29 years of benching for Pierre Petroni. Not that he minds. The president and trainer in chief of the hockey junior team of College Français trained a lot of different teams in his 29 years career. He never gets tired of his passion: teaching hockey. @:He started skating at 5 and, continued for many years to play hockey. He was part of Patriotes, a team from Trois-Rivières during his university years. In 1986, Claude Gladu, then mayor in Longueuil offers him to coach for Longueuil’s junior team "les Sieurs." Then, he coached for Saint-Hyacinthe, and was lucky enough to train Martin Brodeur for two years. Lately, Petroni could be seen in a movie. He was playing in the hockey movie "Pour toujours les Canadiens" as Claude Legault’s assistant coach. A lot of his players from College Français were figurants in the movie. Petroni loved the experience. After all, 29 years is not that long.
